The Origins Of LittleBigPlanet

Media Molecule has unveiled a flyer for an early pitch of LittleBigPlanet showing how much the game changed during its development

The flyer, entitled 'Craft World' is wordy, with far less art than you'd expect from the creative bods at the studio – and the central character is a poor relation to the sackboy we all know and love. The DIY aesthetic was in place in the early stages, however, with the potential game's main selling point cited as putting 'the player in control of a uniquely customisable, compelling game-world.'

“Run, jump, cut, build, create!”

It also touts 'glorious photorealistic PS3-powered 3D', and the ability to share content with friends via the PSN – 'It's modding for the masses!' The one-sheet also features an early version of the 'Play Create Share' motto that has become synonymous with the game, instead reading: 'Run, jump, cut, build, create!' Slightly less catchy we're sure you'll agree.

Check out the flyer below or at Media Molecule's site, where the studio hints at more early concept material to follow…
