Q-Games has selected a winner for its competition to name the next PixelJunk title
PixelJunk Shooter is the winning entry, announced by Q-Games boss Dylan Cuthbert on the US Playstation Blog.
Cuthbert said there was a "huge" response to the competition, with over 10,000 entries, and 100,000 hits on the trailer in one week, crashing the official site's servers in the process.
“Now we'll have to work extra specially hard to live up to everyone's expectations”
"Even though the trailer’s resolution left a lot to be desired, we got a ridiculous amount of praise…" wrote Cuthbert. "And the team’s ego has been inflated a bit, which is a good thing, because now we’ll have to work extra specially hard to live up to everyone’s expectations"
Runner-up names for the co-op 2D shooter included PixelJunk Depths, PixelJunk Atlantis, and PixelJunk Elements.
PixelJunk Shooter will be playable at E3 next week, so check back soon for a hands-on preview.
