PS3: Price Cut, PS4 & 10 Year Plan
Tom Hopkins 12:53, Wednesday 8 July 2009

Amid calls for cheaper PS3s, Sony CEO Howard Stringer has dismissed the chance of cutting the console's price
Only last week renewed speculation emerged over when we'll see a slim PlayStation 3, and yesterday we posted an article on the features to expect from the PlayStation 4.
But Sony is keeping information on both consoles close to its chest, while firefighting the intense pressure from elsewhere in the industry to lower the price of its current console.
“I would lose money on every PlayStation I make - how's that for logic?”
Asked about the logic of not cutting the PS3 price, Stringer told Reuters: "I (would) lose money on every PlayStation I make - how's that for logic?"
The manufacturer has remained adamant that the console is destined for a ten-year life cycle, and remained silent about plans for the next iteration - follow the link to see what we do know about the PS4.
